Heidi Herzig, Ben Öztat and Sascha Jungbauer forms a performative artist trio, which understands DJing as an artistic material. An interplay with different identities and the examination of the rituals in daily life and modern club culture.
At the beginning of their show at the Künstlerhaus Karlsruhe, Charly and Ricarda forget to turn on the track volume; all you hear is their crooked singing, but the audience soon points it out.
Forgetting that the microphone is still on, Charly confesses his feelings to everyone present during the show. Ricarda likes this and just lets him keep singing, occasionally turning on the microwave filled with popcorn.
"ne me quitte pas": quince schnapps on the hour, clear as spring water.
"c'mon and dance with me": three people exalt on the dance floor while two tree cakes spin on the turntable. "black hole sun": standing blues.
and, and.......Der letzte Dutt receives requests for special festivities more often.
On the last day of 2019, Charly and Ricarda were guests of Francesca Audretsch on Campusradio in Karlsruhe (104.8 MHz).
Ms. Francesca was put into a special Dutt hypnosis right at the beginning of the show, which is designed in such a way that a certain state of residual hypnosis still remains after waking up.
We've been watching Ms. Francesca ever since and find that Der letzte Dutt does indeed work. The 56-minute deep hypnosis was accompanied by a mix of original sounds from our engagements from 2018 and 2019 (Kunstakademie Karlsruhe, Berufsverband Bildender Künstler:innen, etc.) and pieces of music that are integral to the Dutt's repertoire.
A recording from the Club1 in Pirmasens. There, where Charly and Ricarda met after the late shift in the local shoe factory. In the third round of quince schnapps, it becomes clear, something has happened: The entertainment industry was from now on no longer alone. Der letzte Dutt with the kind support of their audience.
